Calm and bathed in light, the patio gathers the life of the house around a cooling plunge pool lined with sea-green zellige. Beneath the palms, tables are laid for breakfast or a lazy lunch; the deep banquettes of the summer lounge wait for reading hour.

The salons

The patio for the day, the fireside for the evening.

Opening onto the patio, the salons come alive as soon as the evenings turn cool: a crackling fireplace, soft and considered lighting, a lounging corner stocked with books, board games and everything worth knowing about Marrakech and Morocco. On winter nights, home-cooked Moroccan dinners are served in the warmth of the room — a guitar never far away.

As evening falls

The house turns to lantern light.

At dusk the lanterns are lit beneath the galleries and the water keeps up its murmur alone. Tables are laid by the pool, a lamp keeps watch behind each moucharabieh — and high above, the medina sky fills with stars.
